Seniors trying to figure out how PhotoBooth works

Check out these hilarious videos of this funny old couple discovering PhotoBooth! It makes me both laugh AND marvel at how much change their generation has lived through. I remember explaining to my grandad how WiFi works. He had big eyes when I told him that you can go online and sit in a park – at the same time!  It made his day and certainly mine.

Seniors are getting more and more computer savvy. Sending text messages and emails is second nature. They know how to use Skype and share their pictures online with their friends and family. Beyond that it presents a unique opportunity: the opportunity to record their voices, and lessons for posterity. (We’re currently building a collection of life lessons from seniors. Check out the call for stories here.

Oh, and shoot us a “Web 2.0 Saavy Senior” email today at writepentales@gmail.com with an anecdote about seniors and tech. And, if you’re a senior, tell us, what you love or hate about these little gadgets us youngsters are so fond of?
